Remember in Penang 2 MCA reps got suspended for just abstaining from voting in the interests of the ruling party and in parliament I think Sothinathan got suspended for voicing his opinion about a certain medical university. If you vote for BN you are surrendering your vote to UMNO to do what they have done since 1963 hence their arrogance. After all if you never protest you can't be serious about protecting your own rights. Toyo's action is just another example of UMNO arrogance and you really can't blame him cause UMNO has gotten away with this behavior for decades. Toyo then went on to tell a sob story of how he had to go from mosque to mosque for donations to pay his SPM fees during his younger days and that he came from a poor family which did not even “have enough to eat”, a predicament which almost made him shun mainstream society. Toyo then urged Indian youths to prevent themselves from being cut off from mainstream society when fared with trials and tribulations. Gosh, did Toyo, this son of an Indonesian immigrant gun who had benefited enormously from the NEP, really expect the Indians to swallow all that he said, hook, line and sinker? If he did, then he really must rate the collective Indian intelligence as very low. It’s stupid remarks like that from so-called “leaders” like Toyo that would further alienate the minorities. The country is so short of dentists and yet Mahathir had to pull this ass-hole away from performing what he was really trained, financed by taxpayers’ money, to do.
