Private school means high tuition fees, which means only the well to do could afford it. I think private school smacks an elitist attitude. I believe in one type of school, a public school, revamped of course. Having vernacular schools, religious schools, private schools makes no sense except to widen the social cleavage.

The primary years of school children are important in shaping their psychological makeup, any division either imaginary or real will not help the country.

My wife believe that once we have children I will not be an idealist, I would be fearful to send our children to public school. However as it stands now, I stand by my belief, that one type of school, a public school. The revamp is badly needed of course. If I remember my days in public school, I think half the teachers are simply mad, that is when they decide to discuss politics.
